UN World Food Programme (WFP) Nepal
SW Nepal was assigned by WFP Nepal to provide a two-day Monitoring and Evaluation Training to WFP staffs. The training was conducted from 6-7 October 2009 in Nepalgunj.
The objectives of the training programme were:
- To understand the objectives and benefits of programme monitoring, the components and steps of an M&E system, and their role within the WFP M&E system,
- To learn and practice skills and tools of beneficiary contact monitoring in the field.
The training delivery was based on an ‘adult learning principle’ using participatory method’.
Participatory training methods like Buzz Group Discussion, Role-play, Games, Illustrated Lectures, Brain storming, Case studies, and Interactive Learning were widely used to make training effective.
Altogether 16 members from WFPs’ Programme districts (4 women and 12 men) participated in the training.
